100:1 Stock Split Done: One Rs 22,400 Realty Penny Stock Splits To Below Rs 230, Gives 440% Returns YTD

Jamshri Realty, a residential commercial projects maker with penny stock status, has split into the ratio of 100:1 this week. The stock which once traded above Rs 22,400 levels, is now cheaper than Rs 230. Adjusted to the stock split ratio, the year-to-date gains of Jamshri are a whopping more than 440%.

Jamshri has touched back-to-back upper circuits this week. On August 16, the stock split into a 100:1 ratio and ended at Rs 228.75 apiece which was also its new 2% upper circuit and fresh 52-week high.Jaipur Investment

Jamshri’s market cap is at Rs 159.82 apiece. Data from BSE showed that Jamshri’s price-to-equity ratio is at -0.47x, while the return on equity is robust at 83.77%.

Before splitting, Jamshri had touched an upper circuit of Rs 22,430.56 on August 14, which was its 52-week high as well.

YTD, Jamshri’s share price has gained by 440.40% on BSE. The stock was below Rs 43 levels at the start of January 2024. This is adjusted to the stock split.

The record date for the stock split was fixed on August 16, which was also its ex-split date for the 100:1 ratio. This means that only investors who are holding Jamshri shares by the end of August 16, will be eligible for the stock split benefits.

During a stock split, the number of equity shares rises in an investor’s portfolio, while the price value of per share reduces significantly. Also, the face value gets trimmed. However, the share capital stays the same.

At the ratio of 100:1 split, one existing Jamshri stock price at a face value of Rs 1,000 each, split into 100 shares having a face value of Rs 10 each.

Calculate your gains. For example, if you are holding 10 shares of Jamshri Realty at the upper circuit of Rs 22,430.56 that was recorded on August 14, your investment value will be Rs 2,24,305.6. The face value will be Rs 1,000 each here.

After stock split, your 10 shares will rise to become 1,000 shares (10 X 100), while the face value will be trimmed to Rs 10 each and per share price will be at Rs 224.30Mumbai Investment. But the investment amount will remain the same at Rs 2,24,305.6.Kanpur Investment

Hence, 10 shares X Rs 22,430.56 at Rs 1,000 face value = 1,000 shares at Rs 224.30 at Rs 10 each face value.
